Konami Solstice: Replacing a Main Door

Symptom: Main Door does not close properly

Solution: Replace door

Unplug player tracking : Unplug any player tracking cables attached to your main door.

Unplug button panel from backplane : Unplug the molex, two-pin, USB, and displayport from the backplane

Remove screws/bolts that anchor door to machine: Remove the screws circled in red. If there were any stoppers added to help brace the door, you may need to remove the nuts circled in yellow. Use caution, as door will only be held on by shocks after this.

Remove door shocks : Remove the shocks, you may need to detach the pin that braces the shock. Door will now be able to be pulled away from game to remove.

Install new door: Perform each step in reverse to install new door
